Ingram Entertainment sells Action International Marketing

LA VERGNE, TN – Ingram Entertainment Inc. has sold its computer liquidation company, Action International Marketing.

Ingram Entertainment, the nation’s largest home entertainment distribution company, announced the sale recently in a memo to IEI associates. Ingram Entertainment Chairman and President David Ingram cited an inability to find management in the liquidation industry that shared IEI’s senior management philosophies regarding inventory and margin issues as the company’s rationale for exiting the computer liquidation business.

IEI sold substantially all of Action International Marketing’s inventory and fixed assets to a new company formed by AIM’s former general manager, Bob Beckett. The company will continue to be based in the Philadelphia area.
