DBI Beverage Inc. Purchases Sacramento Distributor Mesa Beverage Sacramento operations the third acquisition for DBI

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – DBI Beverage Sacramento announced today that it has completed the acquisition of the Sacramento, Calif., operations of Mesa Beverage Co. Inc. Terms of the asset purchase were not disclosed. DBI Beverage Sacramento is owned by DBI Beverage Inc.

Mesa Beverage is the third beverage distributor that DBI Beverage Inc. has acquired since 2002.

“Our business model is to acquire successful distributors in growing markets,” said David B. Ingram, Chairman of DBI Beverage Inc. “Ron Fowler and the Mesa Beverage team have done a remarkable job of building the business. Our goal is to continue that success.”

Mesa Beverage started operations in Sacramento in 1998. The operations has 175 employees and annual revenues of approximately $75 million. It distributes products from Miller Brewing, Heineken USA, Diageo-Guinness and other beverage suppliers.

We have the utmost confidence that DBI will continue the great relationships with customers in the Sacramento area and the track record of success that Mesa Beverage established.” DBI Beverage Sacramento will retain all Mesa managers and employees.

DBI Beverage Inc. acquired the Golden Brands distributorship in San Francisco in 2005. The Sacramento operations will report to Bob Stahl, President for San Francisco and Sacramento. John Janosko will continue in his role as Vice President and General Manager for Sacramento.

In addition to Golden Brands and DBI Beverage Sacramento, sister companies of DBI Beverage Inc. include a beverage distributorship in Memphis, Tenn., and one of the largest DVD and video game distribution companies in the country. DBI Beverage Inc. is headquartered in La Vergne, Tenn., just outside of Nashville.
